What types of payments are accepted?
All payments are made online by credit card.
Until what date can you register?
Registration closes on July 25, 2022. However, if we have reached the maximum number of participants per event, registration will close early for the event in question
Where is the Village de la Traversée?
On the grounds of chapelle St-Bernard Chapel at the corner of the chapel road and the Chemin des Voyageurs.
The village is located at the south base of Centre de villégiature Tremblant /Tremblant Resort.
Where can we park?
In the Tremblant Resort’s available parking lots, those nearby (P1, P2) and the P3 parking with shuttle service that takes you directly to the Village of La Traversée. Paid parking is also located at P1 and in the Westin’s indoor parking lot.

Do I need a chaperone?
For the 12 km, each swimmer must be accompanied by a kayaker. We can provide a kayaker for a fee. Participants must make the request when registering.
For other distances (1 km and 3 km), no attendant is required nor permitted.

We can provide a kayaker for a fee. Participants must apply when registering.
When and where can athletes pick up their bags?
Athletes can pick up their bags from the crossing village when checking in. For the 1 km Desjardins, the 3 km and 5 km, registration must be done Friday evening August 5; registration for 12 km takes place on Saturday August 6.
What is the water temperature at this time of year?
The average water temperature in August is between 19°C and 24°C.
Is there special accommodation for event participants?
Yes, the accommodation list will be available soon on our website.
DURING THE MEET
Do I need to wear a wetsuit?
Wetsuits are permitted, but not mandatory. However, bathing caps are mandatory.
Where is the 12km start? How do we get there?
The 12 km starts at Baie des ours. The organization ensures transport of all participants, swimmers and kayakers, to the 12 km.
Is there a pre-race meeting for the athletes?
There is a mandatory pre-race meeting on Friday night at 7:30 pm for the athletes of the 1 km Desjardins, the 3 km and 5 km, and on Saturday at 4:00 pm for the athletes of the 12 km.
Do the starts go by distance, age group or both?
- 12 km: Starts are in waves of 25 participants, based on your estimated time to complete the course.
- 1 km Desjardins, 3 km et 5 km : Starts are in waves according to your estimated time.
Do the men and women start separately?
The starts for all meets are mixed.
Do I have to finish the meet in a limited amount of time?
- 12 km : You must cross KM6 in two and a half hours after the start and finish the course within 5 hours.
- 1 km : One hour after start, at 10 am.
- 3 km : Two hours after start, at 10 am.
- 5 km : Three hours after start, at 11:30 a.m.
How do I follow and cheer on the swimmers?
- 12 km: If you are a volunteer kayaker, you’ll be on the front lines to encourage the swimmers.
- 1 km Desjardins et 3 km et 5 km : spectators can watch and cheer the swimmers from the beach park.
- You can also follow the event on a Facebook Live (TLT et GSS) and on a giant screen at the Village de la Traversée.
AFTER THE MEET
Will there be a medal ceremony?
Yes, according to the program schedule.
