I heard about a voluntary donation, what is it ?

As the whole events and cultural industry, La Traversée du Lac Tremblant is hit hard by the economic consequences implied by the pandemic. If some participants wish to do so, they have the possibility to donate the value of their 2020 registration to the event. In return, the organization will offer a 50% rebate on a 2021 registration.

I will not be available in 2021. What are my options ?

Facing this unprecedented situation which is beyond our control, registrations are non-refundable. However, you can transfer your registration to another participant directly in your MS1 timing online account. This option will be available in the fall 2020. We also offer the option to postpone your registration to 2022. Please communicate with us at if you have further questions regarding these options.

Some sports events are authorized by the government. Why isn’t it the case with La Traversée ?

Events authorized by the government must meet many criteria, one of which being the respect of physical distancing. After evaluating and elaborating many scenarios, it became clear to us that it would be extremely difficult to control the physical distancing to offer a safe environment to participants, volunteers and spectators.

Who took the decision to postpone the event ?

The event postponement is a decision that was taken by the team of La Traversée in collaboration with its partners and local authorities.
