La Traversée du Lac Tremblant / Ultraswim Canada hosts Global Swim Series North American Championship
Traversée du Lac Tremblant’s 5 km and 12 km Ultraswim distances have been selected as the North American series’ official race events. The Global Swim Series now has over 117,000 swimmers, in 177 races, in 36 countries.
The Desjardins 1 km meet is the perfect distance for swimmers to try open-water competition for the first time, while offering intermediate and advanced swimmers the opportunity to establish personal record.
Looking for a new experience? Or to test your limits in a safe setting? The Desjardins 1 km is perfect for you!
The new Traversée du Lac Tremblant 5 km distance is the natural progression between its 3 km and 12 km meets. This open-water event offers 3 km swimmers the opportunity to take their sport to the next level, before considering longer distances.
It’s perfect for pushing yourself beyond, in a safe setting ‒ and living a thrilling experience too!
The 12 km Ultraswim is the ultimate experience ‒ total immersion! Demanding yet exalting, this open-water swim distance presents a sizable challenge.
Lac Tremblant spans 12 km and swimmers must cover its entire distance. Athletes are transported by boat to the departure point at the northern tip of the lake ‒ an extremely picturesque, remote area. During the meet, they are immersed in the natural beauty of the Laurentian region.
To ensure personal safety during the race, swimmers must be accompanied by their own kayaker. As well, a second team is deployed to oversee the general safety and security of all participants.
Join la Traversée du Lac Tremblant’s 12 km open-water race by completing the Registration Request Form. Due to the demanding nature of this meet, requests will be assessed individually by our team. If your application is accepted, you will receive a link to its online registration platform.
